Survey and define the objective

Establish what the system must see, control, record or present. Review existing equipment, available records, network ownership, access and the people who will use it.

Develop the architecture

Connect devices, power, networks, software, recording and operator interfaces. For BMS, include the plant, points and intended control sequences. Identify retained equipment and third-party dependencies.

Prepare the installation

Agree access, programme, routes, working constraints and commissioning arrangements. Where work affects occupied premises or operational equipment, plan the changeover with the responsible team.

Commission the functions

Test the result against the intended task: a recorded camera view, a working permission, an alarm, a trend or a plant-control sequence. Record limitations and outstanding work.

Hand over and maintain

Provide the agreed records and operator briefing. Define maintenance, fault reporting, controlled remote access and the handling of future changes.
