Secure off-site storage in SYREX’s data centre, with capacity, access and retention planned around your operation.

Storage beyond your premises

Keep important data beyond the site.

SYREX provides secure off-site data storage in our data centre. We agree what needs to be stored, how it reaches us and how authorised people retrieve it. The storage plan connects the data you need to keep with the systems and people who use it.

An off-site copy gives important data a separate location when equipment at the original site is damaged, lost or removed. The service starts with a clear storage scope and a practical route to retrieve the information.

01

A separate location

Keep the agreed data away from the premises or equipment it supports.

02

Access with a clear owner

Define who can retrieve information and how an access request is handled.

03

Retention that fits the need

Plan the volume, storage period and retrieval requirements together.

Build the storage plan

What needs to be kept.
How it needs to be used.

A useful storage arrangement connects data volume, transfer, retention and retrieval.

The off-site storage specification
The areaWhat we discuss
The dataIdentify the files, recordings or project information and the system they come from.
The transferAgree a compatible route, the connection available and the security requirements.
The storageSet the required capacity and how long the data needs to be retained.
The accessName the authorised users and define how retrieval requests are handled.
The recoveryAgree the retrieval and recovery checks, responsibilities and support arrangements.
Talk through your requirement

A defined service.
A clear handover.

Tell us what you need to store: CCTV recordings, business files or project information. We review the source system, expected data volume, connection and retrieval needs before defining the service. Capacity, transfer security, access permissions, retention and recovery requirements are recorded in the storage specification.

Useful answers.

Talk to the team
Can this support our existing CCTV system?

We review the recording platform, supported transfer or export routes and connectivity before proposing an off-site storage arrangement. Compatibility and the amount of data to be retained are part of that review.

Can we discuss business data as well as CCTV recordings?

Yes. Tell us the data types, source systems, expected volume and how you need to retrieve the information. We will define the supported storage scope with you.

How much storage and retention can we have?

Capacity and retention are specified around the data volume, the rate at which it changes and how long you need to retain it. We discuss those requirements before confirming the service and price.

Does storage include CCTV monitoring?

Off-site storage and monitoring have separate roles. Storage retains the agreed data; monitoring reviews events and follows agreed response instructions. SYREX can discuss the two services together where your system and requirement support it.
