Establish an equipment and software inventory, access arrangements and available technical records.
Keep controllers, software, field devices and operating information supportable as the building evolves.
Controls maintenance is about more than clearing an alarm. Sensor accuracy, failed actuators, overridden settings, missing backups and undocumented changes can all affect operation. The service scope starts with the installed equipment and the level of access and information available.
Establish an equipment and software inventory, access arrangements and available technical records.
Connect reported symptoms to plant operation, controllers, field devices and communications.
Keep a record of software work, setting changes, backups and outstanding recommendations.
An upgrade proposal should identify the reason for the change: supportability, new functions, failed hardware or wider building works. Compatibility, licences, backups and a recovery plan belong in the change process. Planned visits and reactive support are defined in the service agreement, including included systems, hours, exclusions and escalation. Do not assume that a software upgrade can be applied to every retained controller without checking.
Use our guide to bring the existing controls, operating objectives and changeover requirements into the project brief.

Talk to the teamWe can discuss an initial assessment. Access rights, installed products, software condition and the recoverability of existing configuration influence what can be supported.
Support hours and response arrangements are established in the service proposal. They should match the building’s operating priorities.
Tell us the location, the task and the timescale. We’ll connect you with the relevant team.
